Islam vs The World (Really?)
Nowadays in Indonesia, I see a lot of muslim preachers (dai, ustadz) that try to portray Islam or Muslim like we're in a threatened position, as if the whole world always been utterly hated or wronged Islam, but they seem to fail to prove their point. At the end, their narration about "Islam being wronged" most likely to be "fear it's going to happen" but sadly they present it as if it's taking place. I'm getting sick of it.
It seems like Islam versus The world, there must be something contrast in some way.
When in reality, we're fine. We're okay. Well yes, some people hate muslim because somehow they're stereotyping us as a terrorist just because a very little amount of muslim committed terrorist attack. I'm not justifying those kind of act, by all meaning these terrorists is wrong, but hey why you stereotyping us just because a glimpse of our community did something that don't even being recognized by us, the MOST of the community? Not to mention they forgot whatever kind of deeds we've done as a community to others.
Lets say, all these fretfulness about "Islam being threatened by the world and we are not okay" is true, can we as a Muslim fight all that in Islamic way? By spreading love, not hatred.
Aren't we, Muslims, told to always do tabayyun before jumping to conclusion?
/Tabayyun/ is to check and verify an information from every related perspective before accepting it as true.
If there's anything that threatened us, it's because we're not at unison.
At the end, what do I know about this big world?
I'm just a human that constantly committing sins, but 'am progressing so I'm not ashamed to call myself a Muslim in front of Allah on Judgement Day, because what if Allah sees me not worthy of being a Muslim?
Allahu alam, only Allah knows better.
